Spring Valley, New York resident Dr. Sam Wainhaus is a professional scientist with a passion for advancing the cause of pharmaceutical medicine and improving people’s lives in the process. As a member of the scientific community, Dr. Wainhaus has had the opportunity to participate in numerous studies and papers that have been reproduced in scientific journals and almanacs. His work has been primarily concerned with discovering new drugs, specifically the use of UPLC-MS/MS to better understand exploratory drug metabolism, understanding high throughput hyphenated MS techniques for pharmaceuticals, and the nature and application of ultra fast liquid chromatography.
Dr. Wainhaus currently serves the Schering–Plough Research Institute as Group Leader II in the Department of Exploratory Drug Metabolism. Dr. Wainhaus has led a team of six fellow scientists as they work to improve medicine and the overall health of the world. At Schering–Plough Research Institute, Dr. Wainhaus is able to leverage his extensive experience as a scientist and researcher in the realm of drug metabolism to increase company profits while developing quality products.
Dr. Wainhaus holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Brooklyn College in New York.
